The most recent update from Tyro on the outage of EFTPOS terminals is more than 3 days old. NANA continues to receive reports from Members that Tyro terminals are going down, three weeks after the initial problems surfaced.

The General Retail Industry Award 2020 has been updated to reflect the 1.75% increase in wages which flows from the June 2020 Annual Wage Review decision. The increase was delayed due to the impacts of COVID-19 on the retail sector.

NANA has been keenly watching the impact of the Tyro terminal outage experienced by many Newsagents over the past 2+ weeks. According to Tyro, there are still retailers who have not had their Tyro terminals updated to overcome the “bricking” issue which arose over software problems.
