New work health and safety fact sheets have been developed by Safe Work Australia in collaboration with eSafety which address the issue of online abuse in the workplace. NANA lobbies for extension of $5,000 CCTV for all NSW Newsagents

NANA has successfully assisted Member Newsagents claim up to $5,000 under the NSW Government’s Community and Small Business CCTV Fund. Whilst the CCTV Fund provides a great benefit to those Newsagents who have been able to qualify, a fundamental problem relates to the Fund’s limitation to only 10 local government areas, mostly across metropolitan Sydney.

Instructions for $1,500 rebate updated

Following on from some further adjustments by Service NSW to the claims process for the $1,500 small business government fees and charges rebate scheme, NANA has updated its guidance on how to claim the costs of rates (up to $1,500) where the rates are paid as outgoings or otherwise indirectly to a Newsagent’s landlord.
