The Fair Work Commission has released the drafts to change the General Retail Industry Award 2020 to take into account the recent 2.5% increase from the annual wage review. For Newsagents in the ACT and NSW, the increases will apply from the first complete pay period to commence on or after 1 September 2021.
On 1 July 2021, the superannuation guarantee (SG) rate will rise from 9.5% to 10%. If your business has employees, you’ll need to ensure your payroll and accounting systems are updated to incorporate the increase to the super rate.
