Eligible Newsagents have until 31 October 2021 to claim the JobMaker Hiring Credit for new eligible employees hired between 7 April – 6 July 2021. Eligible Newsagents can receive payments of up to $200 a week for each eligible employee aged 16-29 or $100 for each eligible employee aged 30-34.
NANA expects that industry associations who profess to be acting in the interests of Newsagents to act responsibly to ensure the in-store purchase of lotteries is maximised. NLNA which professes to be a “new age association” has been promoting a tie up with Tabcorp.

The NSW Government has introduced changes to the JobSaver program which now require eligible Newsagents to pass the decline in turnover test each fortnight to continue to receive payments. This additional requirement will apply to the fortnight ending 26 September 2021 and subsequent fortnights.
