NANA has completed its review of the recent annual wage review decision which resulted in a 3% increase to the General Retail Industry Award 2010 wages effective from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2019.
In addition to the increases to wages, some allowances have also changed.
The increase to base Award rates also coincides with further reductions in penalty rates for full and part-time employees working on Sundays and for casual employees working on Sundays.
The new Award wage rates including allowances increases and reductions in certain penalty rates are available for download via the NANA web site at www.nana.com.au.
Further changes to the General Retail Industry Award 2010 will take effect from 1 October 2019 in relation to the Saturday and evening rates for casual employees. NANA will reissue the wage rates closer to that date.
