NANA has received acknowledgement from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) in respect to several “Collective Bargaining Class Exemptions” which the ACCC has accepted and which have operated from different dates commencing 3 June 2021. NANA was the first organisation to have a Collective Bargaining Class Exemption notification listed by the ACCC. NANA was the first organisation to utilise a relatively new provision under the ACCC’s legislation to establish Collective Bargaining Class Exemptions covering and providing protection for its existing and potential Members. Despite its name being NSW and ACT centric, there are no geographic limitations on from where NANA Members can come so the exemptions apply nationally.
