The two-year transition period for conversion to the labelling requirements under the Country of origin food labelling laws will conclude by 1 July 2018. From that date, all food to be sold in Australia must be labelled according to the requirements of the new standard. Food packaged prior to 1 July 2018 can still be sold without the new labels.
