A basic condition of employment that applies across all industry sectors is the a copy of the Award that covers employees in your business must be available to employees.
The General Retail Industry Award 2010 applies to retail Newsagency outlets in NSW and ACT. The provisions of the Award are quite clear:
The employer must ensure that copies of this award and the NES are easily available to all employees to whom they apply either on a noticeboard or other prominent location which is conveniently located at or near the workplace or through electronic means, whichever makes them more accessible.
The NES refers to the National Employment Standards.
