The Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) is increasing its activity in conducting audits of compliance with the Fair Work Act and the General Retail Industry Award. The FWO has extensive powers conferred by the Fair Work Act and is able to inspect records, interview employees and view the workplace to ensure minimum legal requirements are being met.
