With the recent Telstra outages, the scammers have started to make random calls to homes and business to say they are from Telstra and they can fix your data issues now and very quickly by gaining access to your PC. Once you give them access they of course steal your info and download spyware.
NANA does suggest that anytime you receive a scam by phone, email or post that you report the scam online with the ACCC Scamwatch portal. The more information they are given the more your fellow Newsagents and the general public is kept up to date with scams.
